PUERTO RADAL - EL MANIFIESTO
Hay un lugar al que solo se llega por agua. A su costa la marca un solo muelle. En su bosque, ejemplares de arrayán superan los ochocientos años. En sus aguas vive la única colonia continental de cormorán imperial documentada en Argentina. Por sus senderos camina una población estable de pudú, el ciervo más pequeño del mundo, en estado de conservación vulnerable.
Este lugar tiene una historia precisa y verificable. En 1937, en esta misma costa, se instaló la primera estación de recría de fauna nativa de Sudamérica, gestionada por la APN con el respaldo técnico de la New York Zoological Society. Durante medio siglo, los animales que hoy se ven caminar entre los árboles fueron protegidos, estudiados y, finalmente en 1989, liberados.
Ese territorio lo opera Wilderness Patagonia desde 2021. Lo conocemos por concesión, por licencia, por tiempo y, sobre todo, por permanencia.

PUERTO RADAL - THE MANIFESTO
There is a place accessible only by water. Its shore is marked by a single pier. In its forest, arrayanes (myrtle) trees are over eight hundred years old. Its waters are home to the only documented continental colony of imperial cormorants in Argentina. A stable population of pudú, the world's smallest deer, roams its trails, a species in a vulnerable conservation status.
This place has a precise and verifiable history. In 1937, on this very shore, the first breeding station for native South American fauna was established, managed by the National Parks Administration (APN) with technical support from the New York Zoological Society. For half a century, the animals that can now be seen walking among the trees were protected, studied, and finally, in 1989, released.
Wilderness Patagonia has operated this territory since 2021. We know it by concession, by license, by time, and above all, by permanence.
Puerto Radal is the first lodge we opened to travelers within this territory.
