BUSINESS AS USUAL.
Just a quick update from Motel Sierra.
The motel has not been sold and is not closing.
For a few years now I’ve been planning to exit the motel and exploring my options. Recently I received a permit to 'potentially' redevelop the Motel into 12 townhouses. However, no decision has been made whether I will do that or not. Conversations are ongoing and will evolve over the next year.
For now, it’s business as usual, and over the next few months I plan to weigh up my options. There's a lot to consider and I have no locked in decisions.
My guests have become like family, and they’re a huge part of why I’ve loved doing this for so long. ❤️ My staff and family have also been incredibly supportive. It's almost 16 years and many friendships formed...but it is time for me to create a new chapter.
Since the permit is public... the rumour mill has already started I wanted to get ahead of the narrative and be truthful. I am still here. I am still the owner and no plans to sell at the moment.
I'm not in a rush... this is all about considering my options. I will share updates when appropriate but let me reassure you it's absolutely business as usual for the foreseeable future. Peter
