Sometimes, a few thoughtful updates can make a big difference to how a holiday home looks and feels.

Monsoon Villa A in Port Douglas recently had a refresh, with updated paint, furniture and décor throughout the property.

It's a good reminder that looking after a holiday home isn't just about major renovations. Keeping a property fresh, well maintained and appealing to guests is an important part of good property management.

Love a good local market?

A few FNQ favourites have their last dates of the year coming up before taking a summer break. And there are plenty more to explore all summer long.

📍 Tanks Markets, Tanks Arts Centre
25 October · 8am–1pm
6 November · Tanks Twilight Market, 5–9pm
29 November · 8am–1pm
The last regular Tanks Market for the year is on 29 November, before it takes a summer break. There's also a Twilight Market on 6 November, with evening stalls, food vans and live music.

📍 Palm Cove Markets
1 November and 6 December · 8am–2pm
Two more chances to wander the Palm Cove Markets before they wrap up for the year.

📍 The Pier Cairns
15 November and 20 December · 9am–2pm
These are the last two dates for 2026, but The Pier Markets keep going year-round on the third Sunday of each month.
