Some exciting news from OCRE! ⭐️

Old Coach Road Estate has once again been named a finalist in the 2026 South Australian Tourism Awards, in the Self-Contained Accommodation category.

We’ve been fortunate to reach finalist status every year we’ve entered these awards, with Gold in both 2024 and 2025. To be recognised again in 2026 is something we’re incredibly proud of.

OCRE is a small family business that aims to give our guests a beautiful place to slow down, reconnect with nature, friends and family, while experiencing this special part of the Fleurieu.

So a very big thank you to every guest who has stayed with us, returned, recommended OCRE to friends, written a review or simply followed along and supported what we do. You are very much part of our story and our success!

Grenache & Gourmet doesn’t have to end when you leave the cellar door. 🍷🔥

Spend the day discovering some of the wonderful w**es and food of McLaren Vale, then head back to Old Coach Road Estate, light the outdoor fire and open a bottle you picked up along the way.

Good w**e, good friends, a fire to gather around and the peace of Hindmarsh Valley as your backdrop.

With three king bedrooms, OCRE is a great place to stay with friends, and Grenache & Gourmet is a very good excuse to gather a few favourite people and make a few days of it.

One for the w**e lovers! 🍷 Grenache & Gourmet 2026 is almost here, and what a lovely excuse to spend a few days exploring McLaren Vale and the Fleurieu.

Enjoy the food, discover some wonderful w**es, then retreat to the peace and privacy of Old Coach Road Estate at the end of the day. Sounds like a rather good getaway to us! 🥂

How good is it that Old Coach Road Estate has covered decking wraps around every side of the villa!

So if the breeze picks up from one direction, you can simply wander around to another side and find a sheltered spot to enjoy the outdoors.

This is our western deck, looking across the rolling countryside of Hindmarsh Valley and down towards the coast.

Morning coffee, an afternoon with a book, or a glass of local w**e as the day draws to a close. There’s always somewhere lovely to settle in.

At Old Coach Road Estate when the light pours through the windows, the fire is crackling, any thoughts of going out for the evening seem to disappear.
