A moment in the courtyard…

“I have a beautiful bay tree that has been topiarised into a grand, perfectly rounded ball. When Tim first arrived, a quarter of the tree was dead, particularly on the shady side. I truly believed it was beyond saving.

Yet Tim said, ‘No, no - allow me to treat it and nurture it back.’

Eighteen months later, it stands magnificent. It is now one of the finest features of the garden, and I call it Tim’s Ball.”

In April, we opened the doors of Ben Huon Manor for a wonderful weekend of tours as part of the 15th Annual Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens Autumn Weekend and Garden Festival.

As some of you may know, we welcomed an incredible turnout of more than 1,470 guests over the weekend. It was a pleasure to have you all here experiencing the Manor, and it was a joy to see so many of you enthusiastic about its stories.
