Archie had a plan. Bertie had no questions.

I had a quad bike, a vague idea where they were, five gates, and two kilometres of mud ahead of me.

The kangaroos scattered.

Found them eventually, happy, filthy, completely unrepentant.

We stopped to check on the cattle. Then the horses. Whiskey had thoughts about Bertie. Farrell has a secret.

This is farm life 🦘🐶 🐎 🐮 🐾

I'm incredibly proud of what I've created at Merilli1885. It has involved significant investment, hard work, and a deep commitment to sharing the simple pleasures of life on our farm with guests.

Being selected by the South Australian Tourism Commission for the Distribution Ready Program is an unexpected recognition of that effort, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and growing.

I'm equally thankful for the acknowledgement and support of Alexandrina Council in highlighting local business success. Strong regional tourism benefits not only individual businesses, but our wider community, and we're proud to play a small part in that story.
