We're Hiring!

We have two positions available here at the Sportsman Hotel

- 1 x Bartender/Floor Person (All Rounder)
- 1 x Retail (Bottleshop)

RSA required (or willing to get one ASAP) - RSG required for the hotel role.

It's a bar job, so you're going to need to be available on weekends and nights, plus the big ones like New Years Eve.

WHO WILL TAKE THE CAKE?

The Annual Sporties Bake Off is back this Sunday, and it’s time to preheat those ovens and bring your best sweet (or savoury!) creations!

Whether you’re entering your signature masterpiece or just coming along to taste, judge and support a fantastic cause, there’s something for everyone!

This Sunday, Doors open at 12pm, Bake Off entries close at 2pm

Hosted by the fabulous Miss Synthetique & Mr Sporties 2026 Paul Wheeler, you can expect plenty of laughs, delicious treats and a little friendly competition.
Plus, don’t miss a special guest performance from Miss Sporties 2025, Ladybird!

All money raised on the day goes to Briz Pride Rotary, helping support the local community.

So dust off those recipe books, whip out the mixing bowls, and join us for an afternoon full of cakes, community and fun!

After a fantastic night of laughs, challenges, charm, and plenty of Sporties spirit, Paul has claimed the title and will be representing the community over the coming year.

A massive well done to all of our contestants .ander_ who stepped up, put themselves out there, and made this year’s competition such a fun and memorable event. Every one of you helped make the night something special. ❤️

We’d also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Archie, Mr Sporties 2025, for an incredible year of representing the title. Thank you for your dedication, enthusiasm, and everything you’ve brought to the Sporties family over the past 12 months.

We're Hiring!

Ever wanted to join the team at Sporties?

We're looking for a bartender/floor allrounder to join the team for an Early June start.

This is an experience required position, roughly 20 hours a week for the right candidate. RSA & RSG required.

Must have availability weekends and nights, public holidays, New Years Eve.
