While you’re nearby..,
🌅 Where two great rivers meet.
At Wentworth, the Darling River completes its long journey to meet the mighty Murray, bringing together Australia’s two longest rivers at one of the most significant river junctions in the country.
The Wentworth Junction is a must-see at the southern end of the Darling River Run. Take in the view from the Junction Park lookout tower, wander along the riverbank and stay for sunset as the last light stretches across the water and surrounding river red gums.
While you’re in Wentworth, allow plenty of time to explore. Discover the town’s historic streets and river heritage, visit the Old Wentworth Gaol, explore local museums and attractions, and experience the landscapes surrounding the Murray-Darling river system.
📍 Make the Wentworth Visitor Information Centre one of your first stops. It’s a great place to find local information, maps and advice on what to see and do, and to discover more of Wentworth and the surrounding region.
After following the Darling through Outback NSW, there’s something special about standing here and watching the river finally meet the Murray.
