The Weir group is here for a trip that normally their dad Dan organizes. Sadly, he passed away this summer and we’re honoured to host part of the group including his son. We gave a toast to Dan at the start of the trip and will always remember his smile and genuine friendship. Thank you guys for letting us remember his spirit and being a part of your Canadian Fishing Trip.

Ryan Hellen came on the DSG trip to Eagle Lake Island Lodge for his first fishing trip. Guide Cooper took him and a few guys out after supper. Just a few cranks in on his first musky fishing and he hooked a giant 49.5”!! It was an epic fish and tale that everyone in the boat will remember forever! Congratulations!

Rick Cullen has been bringing his sons to Eagle Lake for 8 years. Boy does time fly! The first photo of Jake 8 years ago is of him excitedly getting ready for his first Canadian fishing trip. The rest are of their 2026 trip just wrapping up tonight. There is nothing more heartwarming than seeing all the family memories being made. They have set the stage to continue this legacy for their next generation when we will get to see the grandkids at Eagle 🦅
