September certainly rolled in with some weather! We are once again thankful that our are so adaptable.

With a few early departures, a few tenters getting upgraded into camp cabins for no extra fees, and a few strategic parking jobs for trailers, this was a very successful storm at The Cove.

Will the oceanfront serviced tent sites be flooded for probably a few days? Yep. But the beach is still beautiful even in the lingering wind, and the waves are still the best lullaby.



**Note the falling chunks of marram grass. 😭

If you are in the area on Sunday, Aug 30th, there will be a celebration of life for Charles Mooney's brother Bernie at the Souris Legion from 3pm - 5pm.

Those of us who got to spend time with Bernie were better for it. Quick with a laugh or a joke, Bernie wanted everyone to know they were included and to feel part of the group. He processed most of his life events with humor and a stiff drink, and if Bernie loved you, he made sure you knew.

Thank you, Bernie, for leaving the world with enough memories to keep people smiling even when we miss you. Enjoy your well-deserved rest.

The weather on PEI yesterday was beyond incredible. While there was hail in Charlottetown (90kms away) and A TORNADO in Little Harbour (15kms away) The Cove mostly just sat peacefully.*

Some of us still had awnings out on our campers!




*Peacefully with the most amount of mosquitoes we have ever seen here in our lives; some of which are 70 years long.
