Dominique Hildebrand, advertising consultant and restorer of listed buildings (https://www.tagblatt.ch/ostschweiz/frauenfeld-munchwilen/ochsen-unter-schutz-gestellt-ld.910759), was fascinated by since his first trip in the 80s. Years ago he bought a - traditional Moroccan house with garden - in Fès out of interest in local handicraft techniques and building materials. During the careful restoration of the house built at the end of the 19th century, the idea grew to make it into a guesthouse. The search for investors proved to be difficult and the Riad was eventually to be sold. In 2018, the initiator's daughter, Florance Hildebrand, brought new wind into the project. After her Master's degree in development studies and a year within the international cooperation of the Swiss government, she wanted to do something concrete to promote a more just and sustainable society. She supported the successful application for a loan from the Seco Fund to contribute to the economic empowerment of . The Riad Taheri as a social enterprise will offer its staff vocational training in the tourism sector - based on an apprenticeship according to the Swiss model. This not only strengthens the financial independence of women, but also meets the need for qualified personnel of the Moroccan economy.

👑 In der Königsstadt Fès wird der mit Feingefühl für die arabische Architektur restauriert und als ̈stehaus mit sieben Zimmern wieder zur Blüte gebracht. Mittels eines Darlehens des Seco Funds wird die Finalisierung des Ausbaus und Inbetriebnahme finanziert. Dadurch entstehen 14 dauerhafte Arbeitsplätze im Tourismusbereich. Neben dem konfortablen Interieur und der gut erreichbaren Lage in der Altstadt wird dem Gast ein hoher Service-Standard geboten: Jedes Zimmer verfügt über einen eigenen Butler. Die Qualität der Services wird unter anderem durch die stetige Weiterbildung des Personals gewährleistet. werden als Angestellte bevorzugt, insbesondere alleinerziehende Mütter, die dadurch ihre Existenz sichern und die Lebensbedingungen ihrer Kinder verbessern können. Der Riad Taheri möchte Frauen eine bieten.
