A reminiscence from a few weeks back…
Mode Suisse 2026 came and went, but some moments stay with us a little longer.

The anticipation before the shows. The conversations, the familiar faces and new encounters. Designers, artists, collaborators, friends — and all of you who came to see, to support, to be curious and to share the moment with us.

Fashion may be what brings us together, but it is the people who give it meaning.

As we close this edition, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every guest who joined us, to everyone who worked behind the scenes, and to all those who continue to believe in Swiss fashion, creativity and the importance of coming together around it.

Thank you for being part of Mode Suisse 2026.

Until we meet again. 🤍

This season marks the third collaboration between the Vienna-based artist and friend , bringing his unmistakable visual language to another edition.

Bold, playful, and quietly mystical, Hortig’s work extends beyond the campaign imagery to this year’s exclusive Glatt × Mode Suisse & Friends fourth collector’s item. We already collaborated with Fritz on the very first edition of the bag.
His signature can also be found on a limited edition series of T-shirts created again together with the Zurich based Band de Cyclistes.

For this edition, his illustrations also appear on a special collection of loafers developed in collaboration with our shoe partner, Ochsner Shoes.

As versatile as this partnership has been, one work stands at its heart: The Wheel of Fortune, created especially for the Mode Suisse 2026 edition.

At first glance, the illustration recalls a mandala, a zodiac wheel, an alchemical diagram, or perhaps a fashion family tree. Like much of Hortig’s work, it resists a single interpretation. Every letter has its own personality; every symbol feels both instinctive and intentional.

Rather than asking to be admired from afar, the work draws you in:

“Come closer. Read me. Wander through me.”

It invites exploration instead of demanding attention—a visual map of creative dialogue, where image, typography, symbolism, and community become one.

At the F+F Schule für Kunst und Design, fashion isn’t polished—it’s joyfully taken apart, reassembled, and sent back onto the runway as a bold, slightly unruly conversation with identity, body, and zeitgeist.

With “Women of Glass”, Annika Javet creates surreal, immersive visual worlds in which fashion contributes to the expansion of reality through escapism, enchantment, and female perspectives.

In “Sehnsucht nach Heimat “ (Longing for Home), Maryam El Dabboussi explores issues of origin and belonging beyond geographical boundaries, translating experiences of migration into textile vessels of memory in which the body itself becomes a fragile, emotionally charged home.

With “manifest 5: perturbationes”, Daniel Frank translates personal and generational fears into a visual language that oscillates between tension and vulnerability, where inscribed memories and postures become a formative force.

With “Diva”, Arwen Aylin Andenmatten explores the ambivalent figure of the diva, caught between iconization and devaluation, and translates historical silhouettes such as the corset into a collection about the body, identity, and quiet empowerment.

With “Raw Perspectives”, Patricia Crivelli combines childlike creativity, art, and upcycling into a playful collection that celebrates an unbridled imagination beyond social conventions through expressive draping and humorous stylistic breaks.

In “SWEEP: BEING UNSEEN IS THE NEW BLACK”, Kathy Jeilyn Matos explores visibility, identity, and resistance, using minimalist, experimental looks that blend workwear and deconstruction to reflect on the sense of belonging, exclusion, and self-determination of Black people in a multicultural society.

With “Shadows of forgotten ancestors”, Ganna Starykh translates Ukrainian mythology, traditional clothing, and spiritual symbolism into an imaginative collection about transformation, protection, and cultural identity

With “OUT$IDE PARADEPLATZ”, Juan Adami translates the street style codes surrounding Zurich’s Paradeplatz into a collection where urban belonging, economy, and everyday silhouettes meet luxury materials.

Sagil Ilyas Md. Amin aims to bring together all of their artistic media and practices.
The body at the core draped in sound, movement and clothing crafted for this very purpose while questioning their q***r SWASIAN identity and its placement in the current societal context. Furthermore, they explore the liminal states of the body, its objectification and how softness can become a toll for radical resistance.
