Plumbing problems in Cyprus rarely announce themselves loudly. They whisper - a pressure drop here, a slow drip there, a gauge that reads slightly wrong.
And so we learn to live alongside them. We reset the boiler before anyone wakes up. We put a towel under the pipe. We tell ourselves it's fine, which is different from it being fine.

There is a particular kind of low-level anxiety that comes from knowing something in your home is wrong but not knowing how wrong. It occupies a small room in the back of the mind, never loud enough to force action, never quiet enough to fully ignore.

September is a good month to close that room.

AC installation in Cyprus shouldn't take 1 hours, and if it did, here's what was probably skipped.

A proper installation takes anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. Andreas walks through exactly what happens during that time: correct placement, secure fitting, proper drainage, sealing, pressure testing, and a full run to confirm everything is working before the team leaves.

Rush any of those steps and you're looking at leaks, loss of cooling power, and electrical faults, sometimes months or up to a year later when it's 40 degrees outside and you need it most.

Running your air conditioning in Cyprus all summer doesn't have to mean a huge electricity bill.
Andreas explains the setting most people in Nicosia, Larnaca and Famagusta get wrong: stop setting your AC to the lowest temperature and leaving it running. Instead, find the temperature you actually want to live in and then listen for the unit to go quiet.
