How are businesses adopting stablecoins for B2B payments?

At MPE 2026 in Berlin, 𝗙𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗼 shared their perspective on the operational realities of stablecoin-based payment infrastructure.

The underlying challenge is familiar: traditional payment rails are constrained by banking hours, slow settlement, and operational complexity, whether for transfers between entities or internal treasury movements.

Stablecoins introduce a structurally different approach:
👉 24/7 availability, independent of banking schedules
👉 Near-instant settlement
👉 Programmable, on-demand fund movements

Adoption is already taking shape, particularly among payment service providers and large enterprises. Fipto highlighted three core use cases: receiving stablecoins as a payment method, paying suppliers and merchants, and optimising internal payment flows. The latter is proving especially impactful: by enabling precise, on-demand payments internally, businesses can reduce working capital requirements and improve treasury efficiency.

Fipto's approach is grounded in a strong regulatory framework (MiCA CASP and Payment Institution licences) enabling compliant operations across Europe.

Are we ready for everyday crypto payments, or not quite yet?
