"Here while working, so not a lot of time to explore. Though I enjoyed visiting the town.

Did experience some lovely food and service at El Limonero.

And also sundown drinks, BBQ, mountain views, sun, clouds, swims and the feeling of home.

"Enjoying breakfast in the garden, soaking up the views and peaceful surroundings. Walks, picnics, exploring the local area.

We walked to Bayacas, returning to Orgiva alongside the Rio Chico.
We visited Granada. Bus from near Consum supermarket. Timetable from Alpujarra Plaza Tourist Information Office.

We were served excellent food at Baraka Restaurant.

My brother and I stayed here while celebrating a friend's birthday, and we had an absolutely amazing time. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay.

The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. The views are simply breathtaking and made our stay even more special.

One of the highlights was the olive oil produced by the owners themselves. It is honestly the best olive oil I have ever tasted so fresh, flavourful, and of exceptional quality.

We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, memorable getaway. Thank you to the hosts for your warm hospitality and for making our visit so special. We hope to return again in the future!"

Sunday sundowners! Fireworks for entertainment!

Sunday lunchtime bubbles by the pool, so enjoyable, at 6pm we went back to the same spot for sundowners! The evening view was accompanied by fireworks to celebrate the feast of San Marcos.

The wall beside the studio is covered in vibrant bright pink flowers - this plant has various common names. Ice Plant or Sour fig seem to be the most popular, but its posh name is far too difficult to pronounce!!

The garden is alive with birdsong....chirping and twittering.

There's a Woodpecker tap tapping in one of the palms along with classic tunes from the blackbirds, robins, sparrows, chaffinch and black caps. The Golden Oriole has a beautiful song and is a summer visitor to Spain. One has decided to celebrate his return to The Alpujarras and join us for a glass of cava - and last week we heard the Bee-eaters - who have just returned from winter in Africa.

The temperature tomorrow is forecast 28C, a high this week ...summer's nearly here!
