Although we’re all experiencing isolation in different ways, we are in this together. This shared human experience has the potential to bring out our humanity.

Let me introduce you to the who call our lakeside lodge home.

A large bird, where the female, at 3.2–3.6 kg (7.1–7.9 lb) is larger than the male, at 2.0–2.5 kg (4.4–5.5 lb). Males usually have wingspans around 2 m (6.6 ft), while females have wingspans of 2.4 m (7.9 ft). The body length is 63–75 cm (25–29.5 in).

While we’re all doing our best to stay indoors, internationally nature has begun reclaiming the lands we were loaned it seams! 🦛 At our lakeside site has been tirelessly curated and landscaped to attract the wildlife that currently resides there now. You can lead a hippo to water, but you can’t make is start a family, set up home, or pose for a photo. We’re proud to boast a healthy and happy community of hippos who chose our site to be home!
