Another very happy guest left Gite Petite yesterday feeling relaxed and refreshed after a few days peace and quiet 😊

Today we went to a huge autojumble at Saint Hilaire du Harcouët - a 10-minute drive from Gite Petite.

This is just one of many events happening in the local areas now that the weather is improving 🌞

Despite the drizzly rain, Murphy and I decided to get some fresh air and took a walk around Fosse Arthour this afternoon.

A beautiful area to walk in, even when it's wet and rainy 😍

Today we explored the "Chambre de la Reine" - read more about the Arthurian legend of this area here:

Today we had a lovely walk around La Fosse Artour which is less than half an hour's drive from Gite Petite.

Whilst it was a little chilly, it was well worth the visit - a lovely fresh walk and such a beautiful area.

It is claimed King Arthur and his wife Guinevere decided to retire to this area, living out their last days separately in caves which are still visible today. However, Arthur was not allowed to visit Guinevere except at sunset - he was unable to do this and therefore met his death by falling into the ravine having been thrown by the genie of the Pit.

Christmas is getting nearer and the lights are up in our surrounding villages 🥰

The nearby village of Le Teilleul held their Marché de Noël last weekend - despite the rain and wind, many people came out to find gifts and trinkets for Christmas and even Papa Noël paid a visit 🎅
