If the first picture is what you're expecting when we open, you may be a little disappointed. 😊

As much as we'd love to make every pastry, bread, and dessert that's been requested, we're a small French bakery and simply can't do it all.

Instead of having a huge menu, we'll be starting with just 8-9 French specialties that we can make really, really well. Everything will be made from scratch with quality ingredients.

The second picture is from a test bake this week (and honestly, it looks pretty delicious even without the egg wash).

We know some people may be hoping for more options, but we'd rather focus on doing a few things exceptionally well than a lot of things just okay.

We can't wait for you to try them. 🥐

Progress Update:

We're so close. 🎉

The bakery is nearly ready, and we're currently working through the final steps that need to happen before we can open our doors.

We know everyone is eager for an opening date (trust us, we are too!), but we want to make sure everything is fully in place before making an announcement.

The good news is that we're in the home stretch, and we can't wait to share more with you soon.

We've had a couple of delays with construction—and we promise, WE WILL BE ANNOUNCING OUR GRAND OPENING DATE SOON!

In the meantime, we wanted to give you a little update and show you that we really are getting there.

Our major appliances are in. Construction is still moving along. We'll be training our staff soon, and later this week we'll be sharing a sneak peek of our practice baking. 👀

A little note on what to expect when we open 🥖✨

We know many of you are excited (we are too!), so we wanted to share a little about what kind of bakery The French HoneyBee will be.

In a world of endless choices, we’re choosing simplicity.

At The French Honeybee, we won’t have a huge menu. We will have around 8-9 signature items.

Why? Because we’re a family-run bakery, not a mass production operation. We believe in doing a few things exceptionally well.

Fresh baguettes, buttery croissants, handcrafted pastries.

Because everything is made fresh and in limited batches, there will likely be days we sell out before closing (especially of favorites like croissants 🥐).

Our goal is simple: quality over quantity, fresh over mass-produced, and a bakery experience that feels authentic.

Thank you for growing with us — we can’t wait to share it with you.

Soon, these ovens will be filled with fresh baguettes, flaky croissants, handcrafted pastries, and the warm smell of fresh-baked bread each morning. 🥖🥐

We know many of you are wondering when we’ll open — and we promise, we’ll be announcing our grand opening soon! We’re still very much in construction mode, with lots of finishing touches and final details to complete.

Thank you for following along and cheering us on. We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As a veteran-owned bakery, this day holds special meaning for us. We are deeply grateful for the sacrifices made to protect the freedoms we hold dear.

Wishing everyone a peaceful Memorial Day as we remember those who served and never came home.
