Linen Quarter BID represents 300+ organisations. This historic area is the business hub for Belfast and home to many of the best hotels, bars and restaurants.

Our Belfast in Bloom planters are here!

Each year LQ BID funds 24 planters in high footfall areas to bring colour and vibrancy to our streets for the summer months. These planters are installed and maintained by the city council.

This year, the plants have been chosen in line with the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann colour scheme, and are here until September.

Make Music Day is the international festival of making music in public spaces which takes place every year on June 21st in over 1000 cities worldwide 🎺🎸

For LQ BID’s third consecutive Make Music Day celebration, we are partnering with from around the region, with pop-up performances around the district

This week, we hosted a corporate volunteer day with CME Technology. Ten members of staff joined us to carry out a litter pick across high footfall areas in the Linen Quarter. They then worked with our gardener, Fergal, to install more planting around our murals on Maryville Street.

In addition to our larger spring and autumn events, members can request a corporate day specifically for their team. This is through Love Linen Quarter, our new volunteering initiative, which gives members the opportunity to get involved all year round.

We’re off to a strong start and have several more of these in the diary for summer. It’s fantastic to see our members getting involved in making our district more vibrant!
