The Eastern Transport Plan represents a balanced and realistic plan for modal shift and built environment improvements which will support City Centre businesses, residents and visitors.

We welcome the inclusion of a number of measures which LQ BID has been advocating for over many years, including;

🚴 Improved cycling infrastructure along the Civic Spine from Queen's University Belfast to Belfast City Centre

🚗 Two way traffic system on Great Victoria Street

🏙️ Re-design of Blackstaff Square into a civic space

🏢 Reduced Street Parking in favour of Multi Storeys

🏘️ Superblocks & Low Traffic Neighbourhoods, supporting City Centre living

& more...

We now need the department to put in place a delivery plan which is costed and can be held to a robust standard of scrutiny.
