Silage 26 in! The boys worked hard to get the pit done on Wednesday. The pit is always the biggest worry, as it feeds our cattle throughout winter. We still have silage bales and hay to go, but its a big relief to get this one done.

There is a particular skill the seasoned caravanner picks up somewhere around their third season, and it has nothing to do with reversing.

It is the gift of reframing.

The pitch is not small. It’s cosy. The site is not fully booked, it’s popular. The forecast doesn’t say rain, it says fresh. And the puddle quietly spreading across the groundsheet is not a leak — it is, if you tilt your head, a water feature.

Somewhere outside, a man is wringing out a towel and announcing to nobody in particular that it’s “clearing up nicely.” It is not clearing up. He knows this. You know this. But the kettle’s on, the radio’s mumbling away, and the rain on the roof is — there’s no other word for it — cosy.

Turns out the glass was half full all along.

It was just half full of rainwater.

We do a lot of contracting work in this area. It is absolutely stunning. But as the post below states, you must take walks like this seriously. The number of people we see going for a walk in flip flops etc. Be prepared!

🚶‍♀️Waterfall Country is stunning, but it’s not a casual stroll.

The 4 Falls Walk is longer and more challenging than climbing Pen y Fan.

Paths are there for your safety.

Stick to the marked paths and plan ahead.

Someone asked this morning, 'what do you do for down time? '
Well, yesterday we had a girls day in Llandrindod wells. We had a lovely afternoon tea at The Metropole Hotel and Spa and then a walk around the lake to see the signets and baby moorhen chicks and checking out local stuff! A great afternoon well spent.

They did it! Through to the finals next weekend! They were just bloomin' brilliant and we couldn't be more happy for them.
They are not professionals, just a group of people who came together from across the UK because they like singing and wanted to do something to highlight rural isolation, loneliness and mental health issues in the agricultural and rural community.
