River Ithon was 1m from bank full on Saturday night, we were on flood watch early into Sunday morning. Thankfully it dropped quickly after that. We know no one wanted us to close mid October, but this is why. Time to cwtch up and light the woodburner, spring is not far away.

The first frost. For us this means its closing time. 😪
It also means that last night was the start of our winter work (we grit and salt car parks for managing agents through the winter, alongside our other contracting work).
And swedes are always better if they have had frost- fact!

Thank you to all of our visitors for bearing with us whilst we prepared and hosted Radnor Yfc county Field day last weekend. What is Field day? There are 13 clubs in Radnorshire. They compete in various competitions ranging from livestock fencing to flower arranging, disco dancing to quad bike safety, lamb trimming to making and displaying hand decorated christmas baubles. There were over 300 members aged 10 to 28 competing, supported by parents and helpers. This organisation means an awful lot to us. The kids are members and we have three past county chairman living here! It was a great day and we are all whacked! Some photos attached to remember how clean it was here!! Yes we do like pressure washing and no we wont be offering a van cleaning service!!

There will be a Park and Ride service running on the SATURDAY ONLY for the carnival from,

OSWESTRY LIVESTOCK MARKET, New Smithfield, Shrewsbury Road, SY11 4QA

🕛Opens at 10am with first bus at 10.30am.

Buses every 30 minutes with the last bus at 10.30pm.

Drop off/pick up point - The Oswestry Memorial Hall

Parking will be £3 per car.

Em's eggs has received a gift! Some of you may know that one of Em's hens is called Gary after one of our visitors. This weekend Gary and Karen bought Em, Gary the crochet hen, which Karen had very kindly made for her. Em is thrilled and new Gary keeps watch over you all coming and going by the house!
