Sweffling Hall, tucked away in the Suffolk countryside just a short drive from the coast at Aldeburgh, is a lovely spot for a glamping escape.

With six traditional off-grid safari tents to choose from, there’s room for a family adventure or the option to book the whole site for a getaway together! A few days out in the countryside away from it all, fresh air and evenings spent unwinding somewhere a little different.

Summer had its moment, but now it’s time to cosy down 🔥

There’s something about an autumn glamping break that sunny days just don’t quite get.

… and being in the great outdoors makes you appreciate the cosy bits even more. The sound of the breeze outside while you’re tucked up in bed. The warmth of the stove after a brisk country walk. A hot drink held in both hands…. Little comforts feel so much lovelier when autumn is just in the other side of the canvas.

We wouldn't blame you for staying exactly where you are... but Rutland has other ideas. 🌿

If you can be persuaded to leave the tent, there’s plenty to fill a few days around our Exton Park site.

Start with brunch and something freshly baked at Hambleton Bakery, spend the day walking, cycling or getting out on the water at Rutland Water, slow things down with a visit to the nature reserve or try your hand at fishing.

Further afield, wander around the market town of Oakham, take on part of Rutland’s Northern Cycle Route or make a detour to see Whissendine Windmill.

Then back to Exton Park for dinner over the fire and an evening under the stars. 🌿
