50 years of friendship and brotherhood! 🤝✨

Freemasons from across the UK recently gathered at Oaklands Hall in Hyde, notably from Cheshire, Middlesex, and East Lancashire, to celebrate an incredible milestone as Graham Lees marked 50 years in Freemasonry with Lodge of Newton No. 3024.

True brotherhood knows no distance. Although Graham originally joined in Surrey to follow in his father’s footsteps, he maintained a close bond with Cheshire throughout his career. Making the night truly unforgettable, a close friend from his original Surrey lodge traveled up to share the moment as Sebastian Daly, a leader within Freemasonry in Cheshire, recounted Graham’s life journey and honored him with a senior award.

Congratulations, Graham, on half a century of dedication, and thank you to everyone who made it a night to remember! 💙

Charity begins in a shoebox?

goes back to last week where Alma’s local church made an appeal for help collecting for the local shoebox charity.

She requested assistance from the and along with the charitable donations from the Noctorum lodge 5913 delivered some of the toiletries needed for the Shoebox appeals of both Highfield Church and Higher Bebington Church.

The annual appeal was this year going to deserving children in need. A total 60 sets of toiletries were delivered including soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

The smallest contributions sometimes make the most impact as both churches had expressed difficulty gathering suitable donations.

How are supporting the community?

More recently, we have been empowering young lives across Cheshire! 🤝

We’re delighted to support Children Today Charitable Trust in their work aiding disabled children and young people by improving their mobility, independence, and helping them create precious memories.

A fantastic recent example of their work was the provision of a new wheelchair that helped 20-year-old Nicole regain independence and return to her career as a TV extra! 📺✨

Because they receive no statutory funding from the Government or NHS, they were overjoyed to receive a grant of £5,250 from !

Want to get involved and support their incredible work? You can sign up for their upcoming Shark Dive at Blue Planet Aquarium or take on a Charity Tandem Skydive to help raise vital funds for more families! 🦈🪂

goes back to January with the Vernon Lodge who proudly opened in the Large Lodge room, at The Guildhall, Stockport, for the first time in 18 years.

🕯️Working by candlelight, The Worshipful Master (the leader of the lodge) Ollie Coburn was assisted by Brian Skitt and his Father, Doug Coburn amongst other members

📜 The Lodge was then called off, after which the MMF - Cheshire Demonstration Team delivered an excellent ceremony in the style of 1759.

🍾 The evening was met with many kind compliments and thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance.
