Have you heard of St Anthony’s well?

Less than 15 mins drive from St Michael’s is the wonderful St Anthony’s well. A naturally fed outdoor cold water dipping spot.

Utterly beautiful, tranquil and so peaceful, you might be lucky enough to meet other like minded cold water enthusiasts like we did today 🥰

Perfect for re-setting the legs after the Forest of Dean half marathon today!!

Windows 🤍🤍🤍

We are so lucky to have these wonderful original stained glass windows. When we first bought St Michael’s 5 years ago, there had been some plans drawn up to get rid of them and replace with modern windows. We felt really strongly that they needed to stay!!!

The colours are so beautiful, softly illuminating and reflecting on the adjacent walls. 🥰

I love seeing the ivy growing up from the outside too. 🍃

Another of our favourite places to visit is the viewpoint at Blaize Bailey, roughly 2 miles away, walk-able straight from the front door. 🥰

Magnificent views of the river Severn, and to the east, try as I might, the photos simply don’t do it justice! 😁

Get up early and catch the sun before it’s fully up, or get out for an evening stroll to relax, the trees are so calm and quiet, you might even spot some of the beautiful wildlife!! 🐗 🦌 🦅
