Filey Beach on World Ocean Day 🩵

It’s incredibly important to us to use environmentally friendly products at the Old Coastguard Station as much as we can.

Some of our favourites are (the laundry sheets are fantastic), (love the smell of the bathroom cleaner) and Yolaist natural kitchen sponges (no nasty plastics)

A little behind the scenes from yesterday getting a few maintenance jobs done before the next guests arrive.

The house has been booked back to back recently so it was good to have a bit of time for some of those extra jobs that keep everything in top shape.

Join us for Filey Food Festival a weekend of great food and eco-friendly finds.

Bee Natural Wraps will be showcasing their reusable food wraps. An easy swap to help cut down on single-use plastics such as cling film.

Come and explore over 70 stalls, enjoy local produce, and discover how good food and sustainability go hand in hand.

We're looking forward to welcoming you at the Evron Centre and Crescent Gardens on Saturday, 4 April, from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday, 5 April, from 10am to 4pm.

Why I love Filey in Spring

🐾 Miles of empty beach with not-too-early sunrises and not-too-late sunsets!
🪺Gannets and Puffins return to the cliffs
🥾 perfect weather for walking the cliffs
💦 A great time to get into the water with calmer seas for paddle boarding
