Kielder Forest Drive - connecting the North Tyne Valley with the Redesdale Valley is one of the most iconic routes in Northumberland.

With picnic locations along the way, ideal places to watch nature in action with birds of prey along with Wild Goats often seen.

At the Blakehopeburnhaugh picnic site you also find the start of a number of quiet forest walks including the iconic Hindhope Linn Water Fall and also the Three Kings Walk towards the border.

Kielder Forest Drive is open 24 hours a day and you can stay overnight in camper vans/ camping vehicles at either end.

Kielder Forest Drive also makes a great detour off the busy A68 at this time of year and allows for added adventure on that Northumberland / Scotland journey..
