HOLIDAY HOME CLEANERS WANTED

Rest Assured Properties is looking for reliable, self-employed cleaners to help us look after our beautiful holiday homes across the South Hams!

This could be the perfect opportunity for university students, someone looking for a bit of extra income, or anyone wanting flexible, ad hoc work alongside other commitments.

We offer great rates of pay, with flexible, seasonal work and ad hoc shifts to fit around your availability.

We’re looking for someone reliable, hardworking and with a good eye for detail. You’ll need a full driving licence and your own car, as our properties are spread across the South Hams, including Newton Ferrers, Noss Mayo, Bigbury-on-Sea, Hope Cove and Salcombe. Previous cleaning experience is preferable but not essential, as training can be provided. Our busiest months are July and August so lots of availability during these months is needed, however we are looking for people with ad hoc availability all year round.

If you are interested or have any questions, please message or call us on 07722 294060.

Please share with anyone who might be interested. Thank you! 😊

Autumn might just be one of our favourite times of year in South Devon. Quieter beaches, golden woodland walks, cosy pubs and those crisp, sunny days that make you want to get out and explore.

Here are a few of our favourite ways to spend the season! 🍁

Where to go: From colourful harbour towns to little seaside villages, there’s so much to explore around the South Hams this time of year.

☕️ Wander the streets of Salcombe and stop for a coffee
🌊 Take the sea tractor across to Burgh Island
⛵️ Explore Dartmouth’s waterfront and independent shops
🌿 Take a wander along the River Yealm in Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo. Be sure to check out The Green Deli!

Things to do: A few ideas for making the most of autumn in South Devon 🎃

🍂 Pick your own pumpkin at Pips Pick Your Own in Yealmpton or visit Pennywell Farm Pumpkin Festival near Buckfastleigh. Further afield, there is also Strawberry Fields Farm at Lifton.
🚲 Get out on two wheels at Plymbridge Woods and enjoy the changing colours of the woodland.
🍜 Browse the stalls at Totnes Market or head to Royal William Yard’s Good Food & Craft Market for local produce and something tasty.
🎆 Wrap up warm and enjoy the Bonfire Night celebrations and fireworks at Plymouth Hoe.

Where to eat: Nothing beats warming up somewhere cosy after a walk, especially when there’s a fire crackling away.

The School House Devon at Mothecombe is a lovely spot to stop for something to eat, particularly after a stroll along the beach.

A few more favourites to add to your list:
🦪The Oyster Shack, near Bigbury
🦢theswaninn_nossmayo, Noss Mayo
🕯️The Jouneys End Inn, Ringmore

Walks: Fresh air, muddy boots and some of the best views around! Some of our favourite Autumn walks are:

🥾 Burrator Reservoir for a peaceful wander beside the water
🌿 The trail up to the Avon Dam for beautiful moorland scenery
⛰️ Dartmoor for a climb up a tor and far-reaching views
🌊 The South West Coast Path for dramatic cliffs, hidden coves and sea air

Where to stay: There’s something special about coming back to a cosy holiday home after a day exploring South Devon. Think warm evenings, a comfy sofa and nowhere else you need to be 🤎

Whether you’re planning a few days by the coast or a longer break exploring the South Hams, discover our properties via the link in our bio to find your perfect autumn getaway.

A little look at what’s happening in our skies tonight 🌅✨

Here in South Devon, we’re in one of the best spots in the UK to see tonight’s partial solar eclipse, with around 95% of the Sun expected to be covered at its peak. The eclipse reaches its maximum at around 7.15pm, so keep your eyes on the skies!

And as if that wasn’t enough, Plymouth Hoe will be lighting up tonight as the British Firework Championships return for two spectacular evenings. Here’s a little throwback to last year’s display!
