We’ve had some new faces here recently, so I thought it was about time for a little re-introduction 🤍

We’re the Old Lifeboat Station in Hoylake, a two-bed penthouse apartment in a beautiful, historic building that was once home to the Hoylake lifeboat. With an open plan kitchen, dining and living space, featuring a juliet balcony looking straight out over the beach.

We’re also dog friendly 🐾 - with walks right on the doorstep and some brilliant dog-friendly pubs and cafes dotted around Hoylake, it’s a proper home from home for the whole family, four-legged members included.

We’ve been welcoming guests since December 2021, and we love that so many of you choose to stay with us, some coming back time and time again ✨

Our building was once home to the Hoylake lifeboat, operating here from 1899–2008 and saving countless lives from this spot over the years — all thanks to the dedication and selflessness of the RNLI and their incredible volunteers 🚤

Here’s an insight into how it looked when we bought it in 2018, through the renovation chaos, and how it looks today. After four years as an Airbnb, it’s now a well-loved luxury two-bed penthouse, made for relaxed coastal breaks, fresh sea air, and switching off 🌊

A special place to stay, with a lot of history behind it ✨
