Even Londoners don't really know that this festival exists... For nine days in September, doors that are usually firmly closed suddenly open.

Open House Festival gives you a look inside some of London’s hidden buildings, private spaces and architectural secrets, completely free.

And there’s plenty to be nosy about near Hyde & Seek. Think Victorian buildings, Gothic chapels, secret mews and places you’ve probably walked past a hundred times without knowing what was behind the door.

After months of building, imagining and getting every detail just right, Hyde & Seek is officially open.

A new London hotel on the edge of Hyde Park, made for Hydeing in, heading out and seeing where the city takes you.

The doors are open, we want to meet you, come and find us.

In the 1960s, Portobello Road became one of the beating hearts of Swinging London. Cheap rents, vintage treasures and a wonderfully eclectic mix of people drew artists, musicians, designers and filmmakers to the neighbourhood, turning it into a hot bed of creativity. Vivienne Westwood sold jewellery here. Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon and Mick Jagger all came to browse.

London is best explored on foot. Especially when you start in the right place. 📍

Step out of Hyde & Seek and some of the capital’s best-known names are within easy reach. Wander through Hyde Park to Kensington Palace, stop in at the Serpentine Galleries, head towards the Royal Albert Hall, or carry on into town for an afternoon on Oxford Street.

See a lot. Walk a lot. Then come back, shut the door and hide away for a while.
