Museums sound sensible... The V&A isn't. Which is probably why Zandra Rhodes counts V&A Lates among her favourite London haunts.

🌷 The bollards are tulips.
🌿 Giant Globe Artichokes grow in the park.
🧚 Over 100 years ago a statue of Peter Pan was erected in secret in the dead of night.
🇮🇹 There's an Italian Water Garden designed by Prince Albert as a gift for Queen Victoria.
🐘 Animals have tea together.

Nobody seems to find any of this unusual, which is perhaps the most London thing of all.

Five things to do within a 10-minute walk of Hyde & Seek:

🎳 Queens Skate. Dine. Bowl: arcade games, bowling, ice skating, nuggets in baskets. An iconic neighbourhood hangout and one of our favourite local spots.

🏊 A swim in the Serpentine Lido. Londoners have been taking to the water here since the 1800s. Some even spend Christmas morning racing across it.

🐎 Horse riding in Hyde Park, a bucket list experience.

🍺 A pint in proper London pub, our local, The Swan. We share a building, which saves a lot of WhatsApp messages about where to meet.

🧺 A picnic in the park: M&S picky bits and Rosé. Done.

Londoners carry on regardless of course, that’s what ice cream was invented for. 🍦

Hyde & Seek is close to Lancaster Gate and Paddington; ideal for getting across town, and equally useful when you’ve had quite enough of it.
