Hamilton Davies Trust HDT is a registered charity supporting the communities of Irlam, Cadishead and Rixton-with-Glazebrook

Hamilton Davies Trust is a registered charity (Number 1106123) founded in 2004. We provide charitable support to the local communities of Irlam and Cadishead (Salford), with some additional support given to Rixton-with-Glazebrook (Warrington). A large part of what we do is support a variety of projects across the area enabling development from the community up. We do this by awarding grants, ranging from small donations of a few hundred pounds to more significant investments. In addition to the grants that we give, we work in partnership with Salford City Council and other key stakeholders on the regeneration strategy for Irlam and Cadishead. To date, we have provided support across the area totalling in excess of £7m. This covers over 557 grants to local community organisations, regeneration projects, as well as administrative support, advice and free room hire. We are based in the former George Hotel at the heart of the communities we serve. The building was one of the early regeneration projects in Irlam and Cadishead and was refurbished after it had been vacant for some time. Renamed Hamilton Davies House, the office is home to our ever growing team of dedicated employees and volunteers. HDT and partners have been instrumental in delivering a number of significant projects including, Hamilton Davies Sixth Form College, Irlam and Cadishead Leisure Centre, Irlam Steel Pavilion and the current redevelopment of Irlam Railway Station.

We were very proud this evening to receive a Centenary Medal at the Salford Centenary Awards, where individuals and organisations were recognised for significant contributions to this fabulous city. A wonderful showcase for the tremendous community spirit in this special year. Congratulations to all the recipients but also to all the unsung heroes whose dedication and commitment make Salford a city to be proud of 👏🏻👏🏻

Lovely to be at Tiger moth this morning making paper roses. The Tiger was busy with Poppy Appeal Irlam and Cadishead volunteers getting all the lamp post poppies/school boxes ready. Plus the new crochet/knitted remembrance poppy net for the cenotaph was coming along nicely with Angela and Gill busy sewing poppies .We didn't take any photos, don't want to spoil your surprise when you see the completed result. A real community feel this morning, well done to everyone involved

Our follow-up basic embroidery session; amazing results today, so proud of you all! Lovely to hear people pleased with themselves, when they'd mastered a stitch. It just shows what you can achieve with a little collective support.
