Many of our guests will know and love Lanacre Bridge, a stunning local landmark that has been enjoyed by visitors for years.
Sadly, the bridge has recently been damaged and is currently closed while repairs are carried out. At present, it is expected to remain closed for around 2 to 3 months.
Please take care if visiting the area and follow any local signage or restrictions. We look forward to seeing this beautiful spot reopened as soon as possible.

The UK will experience a partial solar eclipse on Wednesday 12 August.

The extent of the Sun’s coverage and the timing of maximum obscuration will differ across the country. Local weather conditions may impact viewing opportunities, so it’s worth checking the forecast in advance 🌦️

Northeast Scotland will have around 88% covered just before 7pm, whilst in the far southwest of England there will be around 96% coverage just after 7:15pm.

Never look directly at the sun; use a pinhole projector or certified eclipse glasses to view it.
