A first look inside Sæl Spa at Fulham Pier Hotel, where a 15-metre heated rooftop infinity pool overlooks the Thames.

Some hotels make it easy to give a city another night. Cinco Quintas has earned its first Michelin Key in Cartagena, joining Rosselli AX Privilege in Valletta and The TownHouse Mykonos, which have kept theirs in this year’s selection.

All three sit in cities with plenty to explore, and each has a character that makes time at the hotel part of the pleasure. A long weekend sounds about right, with room for a slow morning and an evening out.
