Yesterday, a few of our Green team took a trip a couple of miles up the road to visit who supply our breakfast apple juice.
They stop good apples going to waste which are collected from local orchards, many of which are heritage varieties. Luke and Amelia, who head everything up, very kindly gave us a tour of the site and let us get involved in some sorting and pressing. We liked the sound of the apples we were pressing being made into an experimental c***r!
Fentenfenna, where is based, is a working farm and a place for trying things. They grow food, support local enterprise, create opportunities for people, make good things from food that would otherwise go to waste, restore nature and work with others to see what happens when all those things connect.
Lots of inspiration to come away with and see what we can bring back to the bay.
