This practical three-day course is designed for those starting out with KNX or looking to formalise their knowledge, covering KNX fundamentals, ETS programming, device setup, wiring, commissioning and basic troubleshooting.

The course will be led by our Technical Support Engineer and KNX Tutor, Amir Abyenah, who brings extensive experience in KNX design, programming and commissioning across residential and commercial projects.

Our £600 introductory price is available for our 2026 courses, before increasing to £800 in 2027, so October is a great opportunity to secure your place at the launch rate.

What does a KNX classroom actually need?

Classrooms are rarely used in exactly the same way every day. Timetables change, rooms sit empty, staff need occasional manual control, and lighting and heating do not always need to operate together.

At the AWO Kreisverband Konstanz e.V. in Germany, KNX technology helps the building respond to how each space is actually being used. Across the three-storey building, lighting, heating and shading are coordinated using MDT components.

MDT technologies GmbH presence detectors support occupancy-based control and constant lighting levels, alongside a four-channel dimming actuator, heating actuator, switch actuator, KNX time switch and IP interface. Local controls also give staff a straightforward way to make adjustments when needed.

The result is not simply more automation. It is a more comfortable, practical building that is easier to manage and less likely to waste energy.

Flexible dimming control for larger KNX projects.
