Booking normally run from Friday to Friday.
Occupancy is up to 4 either 2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults plus a baby. Exceeding the could invalidate our insurance. There is a travel cot used at your own risk - cot bedding not supplied
We welcome dogs usually 3 medium but more by arrangement, our insurance excludes damage by dogs you will be responsible for the cost of any repairs caused by them.
Check in is from 3pm - Depart is at 10am to allow for cleaning by housekeepers
25% Deposit require to secure booking – non refundable
The remainder is due 8 weeks before including the security deposit between £150 and £400. We advice you to take out holiday insurance lots of banks provide this.
If you decide for reasons not related to government guidelines to cancel your holiday our normal terms apply. If we are able to rebook your stay we will refund you 75% of the booking price achieved less the deposit paid, this will include a security deposit. In the unfortunate event we have to cancel your stay our liability is limited to repaying payments you have made. Anything beyond my control will not be refunded unless I agree if you decide to leave early. I will refund any security deposit as per usual terms and what I have saved on unused utilities.
Please strip bedding on departure if you are able to and leave property in a reasonable condition. If there are damages please let us know as early as possible so we can rectify them before the next guests arrive.
If you are bringing pets please clean up after them and clear up any p**p from gardens and dispose of it (there are dog bins on most walks). Dogs are allowed on furniture but please bring lots of throws, no dogs on beds unless you provide all bedding. Please inform me if you are allowing dogs on beds. And which beds you want made up. Any savings from laundering go to dogs in need.
Please do not leave pets in the property unattended without prior permission.
No smoking inside the property or the gardens.
Strictly no charging of electric cars or E bikes from the property – if found to be doing so you will lose your security deposit, there are charging points at Burry Port, Pembrey Country Park.
Beds will be made up unless you want dogs to sleep on the beds, please pack your own beach towels and throws.

Drifters Cottage has everything you need for a great family holiday and we are extremely dog welcoming and we have 3 enclosed gardens the back is the most secure. To keep them safe we have a wall around (minimum 5.10) and gate with no little gaps

We are dog owners so know what it takes to make a fantastic holiday. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and safety and have extremely happy guests who return year after year.

Just 1 mile to Pembrey Country Park with its own range of activities, woodland walks and 8 miles of blue flag beach.
1.25 miles to Burry Port town, harbour, RNLI center, lighthouse, beach, cafes, takeaways, shops and the train station.
You can cycle or walk along the millennium coastal cycle path, with stunning views across to the Gower Peninsula.
There are plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants and dog-friendly cafes in the local area and there is a lovely cafe/deli across the road and the pub is 2 minutes walk. We are also perfectly placed for a day trip to the Gower, Tenby, Saundersfoot and Kidwelly Castle amongst other places.

At Drifters Cottage yours, your dogs and children's safety is important to us. We have done our best to make our 3 gardens as secure as possible so that you can relax when on holiday here. I have taken photographs and put descriptions of the height of fences and walls in the back garden. 3 lovely gardens they 2 are small 1 medium and perfect for most families. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

I don't need to say too much as their guest book entry says it all. Wilfreds first holiday and its safe to say he loved it as much as his brothers and sister before him although I'm sure Kipling will have told him about Drifters Cottage Holidays with him already had a holiday here with Herbie.
I've added a little collage from Herbie and Maisie's holiday in 2022. Both special spaniels who loved Drifters Cottage, woodland walks and our beaches, they are both dearly missed 🌈

Your dog doesn’t care if you’re “just popping into the shop quickly”. 🐾

What feels warm to us can become unbearable for pets in minutes inside a vehicle.
☀️ Shade moves
🚗 Cars trap heat
🐶 Dogs can’t cool down like humans

If in doubt, leave them at Drifters Cottage when here with water and a cool space instead.
