We love Scarborough in summer, but there's something about the coast in the colder months that feels completely different.

Slow mornings, fresh walks along the seafront, finding somewhere cosy for lunch and coming home to finish the day in the hot tub.

If that sounds like your kind of weekend, take a look at our upcoming autumn and winter availability.

We might only just be settling into autumn, but Christmas plans have officially begun in Scarborough.🎄

From Scarborough Lights illuminating the town to festive shows and this year's Christmas pantomime at Scarborough Spa, there are plenty of reasons to plan a winter trip to the coast.

With seven bedrooms, a large kitchen and dining space, games room and hot tub to come home to, our beautiful Victorian property is just the spot for an extra special festive break.

December dates can disappear quickly when you're organising a larger group, so it's worth planning ahead.

You’ve finally found a weekend everyone can make. Now you just need somewhere everyone can actually stay…

Royal Victoria House sleeps up to 15 guests across seven bedrooms, so there’s no splitting the group between different hotels or holiday lets.

Family reunions, birthdays, a girls weekend or simply an excuse to get everyone together, it's exactly what the house was made for!

We still have availability for upcoming stays, so if you’ve been talking about that group trip for months, now might be the time to get it out of the group chat 👀

From 12th November, Scarborough Lights will illuminate locations across the town with stunning light installations and family friendly activities, with a special drone display taking place over Scarborough Castle later in the month.

It’s a perfect excuse for a pre Christmas escape: wrap up warm, explore the lights and then head back to Royal Victoria House for a cosy evening together.

When you go away as a group, some of the best moments happen around the table.

Slow breakfasts before heading out for a day of exploring Scarborough, a big Sunday roast cooked with love, glasses raised to someone special or a takeway when you don't fancy cooking.

Our kitchen and dining space was designed with exactly those moments in mind, with plenty of room for everyone to gather together.

Because when you’re bringing a big group away, having a space where you can actually all sit, eat and catch up together makes all the difference.

Scarborough isn’t just for summer 🍂

There’s something so magical about a seaside break at this time of year, wrapping up for a walk along the beach, stopping somewhere warm for lunch and heading back to Royal Victoria House for an evening together.

And when the temperature drops? That’s when the hot tub feels even better.

If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to get the family or your favourite people together, an autumn escape to the Yorkshire coast might be just what you need.
