Summer is well and truly on its way and we are absolutely thrilled to share that we are completely fully booked for June. It is awesome news and we want to send a massive thank you to everyone who is visiting us to kick off the season! July is also looking wonderfully busy here at Royal Victoria House, but we do have a couple of small windows left for you to enjoy a perfect seaside getaway. There is nothing quite like Scarborough in the height of summer, from feeling the sand between your toes on the expansive beaches to enjoying a classic portion of fish and chips as you stroll along the promenade. Our grand historic house is the ideal base for a family reunion or a much needed catch up with your closest friends. You can spend your days exploring the beautiful Yorkshire coastline and your evenings unwinding in our gorgeous hot tub or sharing stories in the spacious great kitchen. Autumn is a brilliant time to visit the Yorkshire coast, especially with so many fantastic local events happening right here in Scarborough. The cooler months bring a wonderful sense of community and there is always something exciting to see or do. Music lovers will be absolutely thrilled by the incredible talent at the Scarborough Jazz Festival, which brings a brilliant atmosphere to the town. We will also see the return of the spectacular Goldwing Light Parade, bringing an incredible evening display of illuminated motorcycles to the seafront. Looking a little further ahead towards the festive season, Scarborough Sparkle returns to the Open Air Theatre for some wonderful winter cheer and holiday shopping. When you book the full house, you have *seven* beautiful bedrooms at your disposal, all meticulously designed for a wonderfully restful night of sleep. We know how important it is for everyone to have their own comfortable space when travelling together, so here is a breakdown of our beautiful rooms.

On the first floor, we have a gorgeous king room with an en suite shower, basin and WC, another spacious king size room, and a lovely cosy single room. Summer is a truly magical time to be in Scarborough, but those sunny seaside days can certainly get quite warm!

If you are joining us over the peak summer months, we have a few top tips for staying cool and making the most of your trip. We highly recommend heading down to the beach bright and early to claim the best spot on the sand and enjoy the morning breeze.

Leaving just before midday is a very smart way to dodge the strongest heat of the day and protect your skin from the sun. The warm afternoon is the perfect time to retreat and enjoy some of our brilliant indoor attractions around town, such as the fascinating local museums or the wonderful aquarium.

Most importantly, make sure you stay well hydrated by taking regular pit stops at the many lovely traditional pubs and charming tea rooms scattered around the town.
