🌺 THE FINAL WEEK OF THE POPPY APPEAL! 🌺
As we head into the final week of the Poppy Appeal and towards Remembrance Sunday on 8th November and outdoor service on 11th November at St. Matthews Church, 10.50am, things are certainly not slowing down here at Skegness Branch!
When we close the shutters at our Community Hub in the Hildred's Centre on Saturday 7th November, we'll be taking a few weeks of well-earned "rest".
And by rest, we mean... MORE WORK! 😂
First comes the mammoth task of packing away the Poppy Appeal, followed by bringing in our enormous poppy nets on Friday 13th November. Then comes the rather glamorous job of drying them all out before they can be safely packed away and stored until next year.
Whoever said volunteering was relaxing?! 🤣
🎟️ POPPY PROMS RAFFLE WINNERS
If you haven't yet collected your raffle prize, please pop into the Hub this week to collect it.
If you can't make it, please don't worry! Your prizes will be safely stored away until you can collect them.
🌺 WE'LL BE BACK!
Our Community Hub will reopen on Friday 4th December, when we shall return refreshed, recharged and hopefully having remembered what sitting down feels like! 😂
To everyone who has visited, volunteered, donated, supported or simply popped in for a chat throughout this incredibly busy period — THANK YOU.
You've helped make our little Hub a very special place, and we are enormously grateful.
Skegness Branch — we don't really do quiet, do we?! ❤️🌺
