Loch Dunvegan has been here longer than any of us. It will be here long after we are gone.
It connects to the open sea to the north, which means the water changes with the tides and the weather and the season. On a calm June morning it is almost perfectly still, the hills reflected back so clearly that you have to look twice. On a wilder afternoon it is something else entirely.
Grey seals haul out on the rocks just offshore. Otters work the kelp beds at the edges. If you sit quietly long enough, the loch tends to reward you.
We have looked out over this water for over fifty years. It has never looked the same twice.
Come and see it for yourself.
