Sharing Our First CanalScapes Newsletter With You

I’m really pleased to share that our latest CanalScapes Newsletter is now live. It’s full of updates, stories from the canal, and a look at what’s ahead as we move towards the end of the year and into a brand new season on the water. You can access the newsletter directly via our website [https://www.canalscapes.co.uk/canal-scapes-newsletter/].

Inside this edition, you’ll find news of our upcoming appearance on Sky TV’s Discover Britain, where Pendelvin Gypsy will be featured to an international audience! It’s a lovely milestone for us, and a chance to showcase the calm, restorative experiences so many of you have already enjoyed. We’ve also opened early booking for the 2027 season, with a few special offers available for those planning ahead, and there is still limited availability for Christmas and New Year 2026 if you’re thinking about a quiet, cosy celebration on the water.

And as we continue to build future editions of the newsletter, we’d love to hear what topics you’d enjoy seeing — whether it’s more behind the scenes stories, heritage moments, guest highlights, seasonal canal insights, or anything else that sparks your curiosity.

Have a read when you get a moment and thank you for being part of the journey.

This weekend's crew enjoying some late summer sun and lock action 😎😀

A stunning sky greeted us on the water today — calm, colourful, and full of that early‑autumn character.
We’ve just completed our busiest two‑month period since launching CanalScapes, and yet views like this never lose their magic. Every day on the water feels special.

A new chapter for our local countryside — the Burston Trail is now officially open.
I walked it this morning and it’s a beautiful mix of open fields, quiet lanes and that brand‑new bridge that finally reconnects the route. It’s the kind of walk that reminds you why Staffordshire is special: peaceful, green, and full of stories.

I’ve added a short ('ish😊) video of the trail and the new bridge so you can get a feel for it — hope it inspires a few weekend wanderers.

If you’re staying with CanalScapes, this is now one of my recommended local walks. Perfect for a gentle 90 minutes outdoors.
