The bar at Crathorne Hall changes character as the day goes on. In the afternoon, sunlight falls through the tall windows onto leather armchairs and a quiet corner table. By evening, the candles are lit, the curtains frame the last of the light and the room takes on a warmer glow.

The Edwardian country house of Crathorne Hall has seen Christmas come round every year since 1903.

Snow is wished for. Boots line up by the door and muddy paws are forgiven. Our team takes care of the cooking, decorating and hosting, so the days are yours to spend together.

Our Christmas Stays offer two or three nights over Christmas itself, with a Ch*****ne reception, Christmas lunch and seasonal dinners, and time to enjoy the festivities at your own pace.

At other times between 1 November and 29 December, our Festive Escapes of one, two or three nights begin with mulled w**e on arrival. Breakfast each morning, a room upgrade and credit to spend on dining and drinks are all included.
