One of the best things about Samos is all the fantastic hiking trails and the varied nature. 🌿🥾

During the training trip we have completed three hikes with different characters. The first from Mikro Seitani Beach, via Megalo Seitani Beach, to Drakei.
The second hike from Marathokampos, via Pythagoras Cave, to Votsalakia.
The third hike from Valeontades through the picturesque little mountain village of Manolates.
All incredibly beautiful in their own way.

Fresh air, movement, nice conversations and community. What more could you want? 💙🇬🇷

What a wonderful week we have had together! ❤️

Hiking through beautiful nature, training with lots of energy, new experiences and many great moments together.

Getting to combine movement and training with Samos nature, the sea and community is something very special.

October in Ormos 🍂🇬🇷

There’s something special about Ormos in October.

A table by the sea, fresh local food from the fishing boats in the marina – and those beautiful autumn evenings when everything slows down.

🍷 A taste of Samos – just above Ormos

Just a 10-minute drive uphill from Ormos Marathokampou takes you to Marathokampos, the larger traditional village overlooking the coast.

Here you can discover local w**es from Samos, visit the w**e shop and tasting room, and meet the people behind this local business.

Samos has a long tradition of w**e production, and the vineyards around Marathokampos are part of the island’s w**e landscape. 🍇🍷

But Marathokampos is also a place with a fascinating history.

Our little w**e visit ends with a glimpse of the statue of Kapetan Stamatis Georgiadis, a local sea captain and freedom fighter who was born in Marathokampos.

When the Greek Revolution began in 1821, Stamatis Georgiadis joined the struggle on Samos. He became the island’s first chiliarch in the military organisation led by Lykourgos Logothetis and took part in the fighting against the Ottoman forces. In one of the early battles at Kavo Fonias in July 1821, he became particularly well known for his role in the fighting.
Today, his statue quietly overlooks the village and the sea – just one small reminder of the stories and people that shaped this part of Samos.

A day at Samiopoula 🌊☀️

Just 45 minutes by boat from Samos and you arrive at the beautiful little island of Samiopoula. 💙

We spent the day swimming and relaxing on the lovely sandy beach, surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise water and the rugged landscape of the island.

Back on the boat, a delicious barbecue lunch was served — the perfect way to enjoy a long, lazy day at sea. 🥩🍋🍷

And on the way back to Samos, we made one last stop for a swim straight from the boat. 🌊
