In April 1955, representatives from twenty-nine governments of Asian African nations gathered in Bandung to discuss peace, the role of economic development, and decolonization that happened in that era. The participants displayed a wide range of ideologies and loyalties. Since that historical momentum, a new chapter in the history of nations in Asia Africa begins. As the results of the spirit and
message of Bandung, the world has witnessed the emergence of new nations which in the subsequent period has played a major role in the field of international politics. Nowadays, the countries in Asia and Africa have had similar problems that mainly caused by over population such as environment issue that lead to pollution in the cities, shortage of energy, housing problem, and poor public transport. If since 1955 the population of the cities in Asia and Africa countries was 30% and has caused all those problem, we can imagine what will happen in 2025 where the population of the cities will be 60%. The Asia Africa Smart City Summit offers the solution for Asia Africa countries to collaborate and learn from each other to solve those problem together.
