Beautiful coastlines. Dark skies. Unexpected moments.

This is what happens when you wake up before sunrise at Kerry Coast Hotel and head out into the quiet streets of Cahersiveen while the town is still asleep.

In the early hours of 28 August, the Earth moved between the Sun and the Moon, casting its shadow across our nearest neighbour in space. At the height of the partial lunar eclipse, around 93% of the Moon was covered by Earth's darkest shadow, giving part of the Moon a beautiful reddish-copper glow.

And sometimes, the best moments of a Kerry adventure happen before the day has even begun.
