A cottage and two luxury log cabins situated in a private elevated site overlooking Mulroy Bay and close to some of Ireland's most beautiful beaches.

Three stays on one old smallholding at Devlinmore, just outside Carrigart and above Mulroy Bay, with the beaches of the Fanad peninsula a few minutes down the road. The cottage and cabins have been tastefully furnished with a completely bespoke kitchen, king size bed and decorated with blinds and soft furnishings from the famous Mcnutt Tweed factory. Each cabin comes with a private veranda offering spectacular views of the bay and the gas powered central heating means you'll be able to take it in all day long whatever the weather brings.

Three days in the workshop. On Tuesday the bar was a plywood frame with a live-edge pine top sitting on it, by Wednesday night it was clad in scorched timber, and this is it on Friday morning with the hills out the window. All of it sits under the steel trusses DJ welded himself, which we've painted black.

DJ's vice is staying exactly where it is. It's still bolted to the riveted metal bench in the forge, which now has new charred timber doors underneath. It's a serious bit of kit and it isn't going anywhere.

One o'clock and six o'clock on the same day. The old outbuilding beside the cottage was stripped back to the rafters in the morning, and by the evening it had a new red tin roof on it. Swipe to see the difference.

We lit the new stove in the forge for the first time the other week. It sits in DJ's old stone hearth at the back of the building, and it was a good feeling to see a fire in there again. There's plenty still to do around it, but the room already feels different with a bit of heat in it.

Three stays and a games room, but no single room big enough for everyone at once. The old workshop can be that room.

In my grandfather's day this was the busiest place for miles: anchors made for the fishermen, gates for the farmers, the kettle kept going for the lot of them. It was never quiet.

The roof's on and watertight now; fitting out the inside is next. We're bringing it back to exactly what it always was, a place full of people.
