Guests gathered in Dublin as the fourth-generation Irish skincare brand unveiled its new look and celebrated more than 90 years of caring for sensitive skin 🤍

Elave Skincare welcomed guests to The Westbury, Dublin, on 8th September for an evening celebrating the story behind one of Ireland’s best-loved sensitive skincare brands - and a first look at its new brand identity. More than 90 years after the Gardiner Family Apothecary was founded in Dundalk, the fourth-generation Irish family business has unveiled a fresh, clean new aesthetic, bringing its apothecary heritage into the modern day while keeping the family values, scientific integrity and commitment to sensitive skin that have defined Elave for generations firmly at its heart.

A highlight of the evening saw journalist and broadcaster Melanie Morris sit down with Elave CEO Joanna Gardiner, alongside special guests football legend Niall Quinn and Dr Gillian Quinn, for a conversation that went far beyond skincare. The couple spoke about Elave’s Irish roots and family heritage, Gillian’s own experience of the range and what matters to her in the products she uses. The conversation moved through sport, skin and changing attitudes to self-care, before turning to another shared thread - family business. Niall spoke about working alongside his daughter, while Joanna works with her son Tom, Elave’s Head of Marketing, prompting a wider discussion about what different generations bring to a business and how it can continue to evolve while holding onto the values that have shaped it.

Having experienced addiction and significant mental health struggles himself, Chris has been sober for five years, with running playing a transformative role in rebuilding his life.
