St. Awaries Holiday Cottage Elegant, romantic and relaxing. Our house combines old style, 1600, with modern facilities. The property is detached and quiet with ample space. Very quiet.

Our beautiful thatch dates from 1600 and is linked to a more modern annex which houses the bedrooms. It is a secluded, sunny spot within walking distance of all necessary amenities. Enjoy sitting in the suntrap between the two houses with a good book or Sunday paper. Garden furniture provided. We hav

e high speed internet perfect if need to do some work. Netflix, xbox 360 and smart TV.

Guests have full access and use of the detached property. Not surrounded by houses or on an estate but 5 min walk to all amenities.

- Interaction with guests

We are available by phone or email during visit and will greet you on arrival.

- The neighbourhood

Ladys Island is an Irish beach haven. Tucked away off the Rosslare road, 5 min to the ferry. A beautiful, serene place with fabulous weather and mesmerising views. You are spoilt with the choice of coastal walks and unspoilt beaches. Carne, 5 mins away, St Helens, 10 mins, Rosslare strand, 10 mins. Wexford town is only 15 mins away, with all its historical charm and a place not to miss is the Heritage park in Ferrycarrig. Kids and adults alike will love it. Kilmore quay is only a short drive. There is so much to see and do or just chill out, enjoy the house and take in the views, the area and end it with a lovely meal and pint in the Michelin award winning pub and restaurant The Lobster Pot, ten minutes walk away. Wexford Opera House and festival end of October. Fishing and bird watching- Carne and surrounding area renowned for fishing. Wexford Wildfowl Reserve home in particular to migrating Greenland Whitefronted Geese.

- Getting around

A car is required but there is a mainline train from Rosslare harbour direct to Dublin 5 mins drive away and a shuttle bus between the harbour and Wexford town that can be picked up on the main road at Tagoat. The house has ample parking in a secure and gated space. Large enough for at least 4 cars, a camper or caravan.

- Other things to note......

We love our little thatch and hope you will too. We hope you have a lovely visit and mind it for us. Towels are included but not for beach use. Basic toiletries in bathrooms and kitchen e.g toilet rolls, soap, dishwasher tabs.
