🦅 Yesterday, we officially opened the 9th KKL-JNF Tzafraton Birdwatching Festival at The Magic of the Kibbutz – Kibbutz Kfar Masaryk and along the Na’aman Stream!

It was truly exciting to welcome so many families from all across Israel and see them enjoying a wonderful day filled with nature, discovery, creativity and fun.

Visitors met the festival’s lead birding expert, took part in a fascinating nature-themed riddle trail, and then continued to enjoy activities at The Magic of the Kibbutz — baking fresh pita bread in the tabun, joining a creative workshop, exploring the interactive “Mysteries in Time” game by the Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites in Israel, and of course, heading out for a beautiful ride through the landscape with Merkavot HaSadeh.

We are delighted and grateful for the wonderful collaboration with KKL-JNF, the Western Galilee Drainage and Streams Authority, Mateh Asher Regional Council, and the Western Galilee Tourism Association. 💚

And the Tzafraton continues! 🐦

Last Saturday, we celebrated the magic of kibbutz life with a wonderful Retro Day!

Around 70 stunning classic cars arrived from all over Israel, coming together as part of the Club 5 vintage car gatherings. 🚗✨

Visitors also enjoyed fascinating tours of our historic shoemaker’s workshop and local art gallery, while Café Thomas served delicious food throughout the day. Even the beautiful horses from Na’aman Farm joined in the celebration! 🐎

All this took place alongside our monthly Galilee market, featuring local produce, handmade crafts and art.

It was a wonderful Saturday filled with vintage charm, local culture, great food and an authentic kibbutz experience.

A Living Landscape
The Na’aman Stream & Acre Valley
🌿 A hidden world. A camera. A little patience.
Slowly, our next exhibition is taking shape.

Along the Na’aman Stream, a hidden world of wetlands unfolds — a landscape of rare plants, including the marsh orchid, hundreds of species of butterflies and beetles, and an extraordinary diversity of birds.
🦋 🪲 🌱 🦉 🦩
Pelicans and herons pass through on their migratory journeys. Barn owls and other owls play an important role in the natural control of agricultural pests. Foxes, jackals and other wildlife move quietly through the vegetation.

And for those who stop, observe and wait — there is always something new to discover.

Around 20 photographers from Kfar Masaryk and the surrounding area have been coming here for years, carrying a good camera, endless patience and a keen eye for the beauty hidden in the landscape.

Through their lenses, a world is revealed that is easy to miss — but impossible to forget.

Munio Gallery, dedicated to exploring the dialogue between people and their environment, is proud to bring their vision into the gallery in an exhibition celebrating nature, biodiversity, sustainability and the profound connection between people and landscape.

And then go experience it for yourself: explore the area by electric off-road vehicle with a local guide, or discover the landscape by bicycle.

✨ Connected Sculpture — a creative experience that brings people together ✨

Inspired by our wonderful creative work with people with disabilities, we decided to expand this meaningful and connecting experience to families, groups, companies, and organizations.

Today, we held a new and exciting workshop: “Connected Sculpture.”

The idea is simple — and surprisingly powerful.

Participants work together to create shared mobiles. Each person creates a piece and then passes it on to someone else, who adds their own touch, changes it, develops it, and passes it forward again.

And here comes the real challenge — and the magic. ✨

Can you let go of your creation and allow someone else to add to it, change it, or take it in a completely different direction?

It turns out… it’s not always easy! 😉
But it creates plenty of laughter, surprises, connection, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun.

By the end, what we have is not just a beautiful creation — it’s something that belongs to everyone.

A perfect experience for families, friends, teams, companies, and organizations looking for a creative and genuinely connecting activity.

As the High Holidays approach in the kibbutz, the children and the community dress in white and come together to welcome the beginning of a new year.

There is something timeless about these moments — the white clothes, the festive atmosphere, the children’s excitement, and the sense of togetherness that fills the community.

Much like today, it was this way back in the 1940s and 1950s.

Generations change, years pass, but some traditions remain beautifully unchanged: gathering together, celebrating the holidays of Tishrei, and welcoming the New Year with hope, simplicity, and a shared sense of belonging.

Welcome to our new Shnat Sherut volunteers here at Kfar Masaryk! 💚

Every year, we are fortunate to welcome a wonderful group of young people from all across Israel who choose to spend a meaningful year with us, working in the fields of education and community.

Yesterday, they arrived with their suitcases and settled into their new rooms in the Komuna. And already this morning, they were introduced to the magic of kibbutz life ✨

They met with Giora in the historic shoemaker’s workshop, where they heard how it all began, learned about life on the kibbutz in the early days, and, of course, dressed up and danced a traditional kibbutz dance with Ita! 💃🕺

What a wonderful way to begin their year with us.
