It was a very busy night! After a short stint on Channel 4 last night, our phone did not stop pinging! So from us both, a huge thank you! "Grazie Mille" for all the support, messages, congratulations and... many NEW BOOKINGS! 💛

And for those who have asked, YES WE GOT our licence! After our application went round every government department in Italy for 7 months, someone found the magic stamp! It's been an amazing season so far with 2 months to go! That said, it's not all boats and bruschetta, vino and views..... here's us on linen day, 32°, not quite living the Italian dream!🥵😏

AUGUST at La Casa Della Seta! 💛
To all our guests, GRAZIE! 66 people through our door and you made it a fabulous month! our bottle bin was also the biggest in the village! 🫣🍾 You visited us from Australia, New Jersey, France, Belgium, Germany, England and California and its been a blast from Posh Ozzies to Newlyweds and cycling fanatics who rode to us from Germany!!!

Why is our shopping trolley full of vodka, lemon sorbet and prosecco! 🍋 🍾🥂 well a recent guest of ours, Sandra from Belgium with hubby Kurt spent a fabulous weekend here and Sandra asked for a 'Sgroppino'. Not one we'd ever done before, we now cant get them out quick enough! Whisked together with a fresh mint leaf to finish, its top of the cocktail list and the firm favourite at the house, now named "The Sandy"! Saluti Sandra! 🇧🇪

A year ago this lovely couple came and stayed and got engaged here on the lake. A year later they are now Mr & Mrs! 🥳💛 We are so happy for you!

The calm after the storm......

Just after dinner on Monday, Tremezzo was hit by a tremendous storm so please take care if you are in the area.... a clean up operation is in place. However as you can see, the lake is still looking beautiful with blue skies and stunning sunsets!

2 out of 10...our first of the season! With over 200 top star reviews, it seems Mr Ahmad wasn't happy! We're sorry the sky wasn't blue enough, the lake wasn't green, the sun wasn't yellow and La Casa Della Seta wasn't up to scratch! On a positive, we scored '2' for the 5 minutes Mr Ahmad was here before leaving, if he'd stayed a few hours longer, we could have been onto a winner with a 10! 😂
