1. The "Open-Window" Train Secret 📸💨
Google says: Book First Class for air conditioning and comfort.
The Pro-Tip: Book Second Class Reserved. Why? First-class windows are sealed shut for the AC. In Second Class, the windows slide wide open, allowing you to feel the cool mountain breeze and more importantly, get those iconic shots hanging (safely!) near the door or window without glass glare.

2. The "Pen Trick" for Power Outlets 🔌
Google says: Bring a Type G or Type D adapter.
The Pro-Tip: Sri Lanka is famous for having mixed sockets. If you find a round-hole socket (Type D) and only have a square-pin plug (Type G), locals often use the "top pin trick" with a plastic pen to open the shutters.
Disclaimer: Just bring a universal adapter to be safe. But if you’re in a pinch, ask a local to show you the magic!
