One of the most visited places in Marrakech, the Majorelle Garden. The architecture and that unmistakable Majorelle blue are often the first things to capture peoples attention. They are the images that travel home in photographs, the colours that have become synonymous with Marrakech itself. But wander a little slower and another story begins to emerge. A truly remarkable collection of rare plants from across continents are home in this garden. Cacti, sculptural succulents, palms, bamboo and species gathered from distant landscapes, now living together in one place. What first appears as a garden slowly reveals itself as a meditation on form, texture, adaptation and time.

There is something deeply humbling about standing among plants that have spent decades, sometimes centuries, learning how to belong to their environment.
