Prior to 2022, I never considered being a travel advisor. Sure, I'd done a few sude gigs here and there and none of them amounted to life changing moments.

Then I got the Zoom call from my current employer saying it was time to part ways after 14 1/2 years. New ownership, IYKYK. I took some time to breathe and a few weeks later, I jokingly applied for a travel job I saw posted. I thought, "What a joke. Who uses travel advisors in this day and age? How hard can it be? It'll suffice until I find something better."

It wasn't an hourly "job" - it was my own business! I heard 1099. I heard the word opportunity and unlimited income and work from anywhere. First thing in my mind was, "Oh great, another scam."

Folks, I'm not wrong very often but boy was I wrong about this! You know who uses travel advisors? Lots of people! Executives of major corporations, doctors, lawyers, business owners, busy families and the older generation who want to deal with a real person - not a robot.

There's room if you're ready to dig in and work hard. If you're tired of dropping your crying toddler or newborn off at daycare. If you're tired of that grouchy lady in the office. If you're tired of doing oil changes because you're commuting so much. If you like crawling out of bed without an alarm and staying in your jammies all day.

My host has been in business longer than D1sn3y...pretty sure not a scam. There's more training than you can imagine - that you choose at your own pace. I have a full-time job too! This can be done over lunch break, after your day job and on weekends.
